Unique work
Maneater from the series The Silent Seams reflects on the position of women within a society that is still largely shaped by male dominance. The monumental presence of the female figure symbolizes the true scale, presence, and inner strength of women — a strength that cannot be controlled, erased, or diminished.
The small male figures appear as attempts to measure, mark, or symbolically “work on” her. Yet despite these interventions, her presence remains untouched. She resists every form of possession, control, and definition. The work deliberately rejects the idea that femininity can be confined, standardized, or subdued.
Maneater is not a painting about destruction, but about independence and self-assertion. The woman is not presented as an object of social expectations, but as an autonomous force — impossible to overlook, impossible to conquer, and entirely free. At the same time, the painting stands as a quiet act of resistance against every form of violence, oppression, or appropriation that women continue to experience today
