“Rainbow Rice Field” reflects Ghone’s gentle, intuitive process and his growing imagination over time. He began by laying down a bright rainbow background, creating a joyful atmosphere that sets the tone for the entire piece. Gradually, over many months, he returned to the canvas whenever inspiration struck.
At the lower part of the artwork, Ghone used a sponge to stamp layers of green—mixed with black and deep green—to evoke the texture and depth of a vast rice field. Above it, he delicately painted soft white strokes using both a brush and his hand, allowing hints of the rainbow beneath to subtly shine through.
This piece, created over six months, captures the rhythm of nature and the freedom of a child’s imagination—where fields can glow with every color and the sky blends into dreams.
