As in the politics of Afghanistan, a man has power and glory only so long as he has the skill to keep hold of them. In Buzkashi, as in politics, there are no permanent friends and no permanent enemies. Ultimately, there is only sheer strength, and the courage to use it. There probably is no more fitting example of sport imitating life than Buzkashi.
