BBA Gallery represented artists, Michelle Blancke, Vincent van Gaalen, and Vishal Shah are exhibiting at the 2026 edition of NordArt. Bringing together a powerful mix of fine art photography, large-scale imagery, and conceptual storytelling, this year’s presentation highlights three distinct artistic voices navigating memory, space, and modern mythology.
Michelle Blancke will be showcasing her latest series of custom-built luminous lightboxes, marking a stunning creative evolution of her acclaimed Secret Garden project. Working primarily in fine art photography enhanced by back-lit illumination, Blancke’s work explores the hidden depths of natural spaces. By creating immersive, glowing environments that transform ordinary botanical scenes into magical, otherworldly sanctuaries, she beautifully challenges how we view the boundaries between the natural world and artificial light.
Vincent van Gaalen is set to present his powerful series Absence, rendered in striking, immersive, large-scale conceptual photography. His work delves into profound themes of isolation, emptiness, and the psychological weight of environments. By completely stripping away human presence, van Gaalen captures the eerie, poetic beauty of what remains, forcing viewers to reflect on memory, time, and the physical spaces we leave behind.
Complementing these visual narratives, Vishal Shah will be unveiling the highly anticipated Parts 1 and 2 of his evocative, ongoing series Legends. Shah’s practice investigates contemporary cultural mythology, iconography, and the social construction of identity. Through layered visual narratives, he questions how "legends" and history are built, maintained, and perceived in the modern world.
