NORDART 2025

BBA Gallery is thrilled to be presenting Renata Kudlacek at the 2025 edition of NordArt. Kudlacek is a mixed-media artist who specialises in fine art photography and print media. Her work draws from an extensive collection of her own photographs and drawings, which she combines with historical scientific illustrations to create rich, hand-made screen-prints and collages.

Kudlacek's art delves into complex themes, often exploring the tension between old beliefs and new scientific knowledge. Her pieces frequently use symbolic motifs like flowers, butterflies, and snakes. She also examines the age-old story of the Garden of Eden through the lens of modern science, posing questions about life, death, and immortality. Her compositions, with their abundant, often decaying forms, evoke a sense of melancholy and loss, while also celebrating beauty and wonder.
