WHERE PURPOSE AND EXCELLENCE MEET
Founded as a project space in 2015 and officially as a contemporary gallery for art in 2017, Berlin-based BBA has grown into a unique force in the art world. "Above-the-line" creativity is the standard BBA works towards in everything it does. It is more than a gallery and a prizes platform; it is a community built on the dedication of every person who contributes to its vision and mission. As practicing artists, Directors Renata Kudlacek and Vishal Shah spearhead BBA, uniquely positioning it at the intersection of the art market and individual creativity.
BBA has a history of working with a diverse team of full-time, freelance, and intern staff, all of whom have played a vital role in its rise and ongoing success. The company believes in empowering its team, and many former colleagues have gone on to build successful careers within the art market. Employee growth is central to the company’s own growth.
Working at BBA is about passion, purpose, and problem-solving. The art world is dynamic and demanding—far from a passive space. The company culture does not operate in silos; its strength lies in collaboration, where every team member is encouraged to contribute ideas and take initiative, so ideas gain traction and lead to results. As a company that is performance-oriented, it looks for doers and challenge-accepters. Identifying problems and taking action to provide solutions is what makes the difference, not passive awareness. Hard work is common, but true grit, determination and a focus on action are the traits that set candidates apart. At BBA, the job is not done until the job is done. With this active mindset, the company looks for the future leaders of the art market to join the BBA team.
