Oil on canvas

This oil on canvas presents a compressed architectural space suspended between order and rupture. Monumental grey planes and sharp structural elements frame the composition, while passages of red, orange, cream, and black break through the surface like exposed seams or internal breaches. The image is driven by diagonals, cuts, and collisions that pull the eye upward and inward, creating a sense of pressure and instability.

The contrast between cool, weight-bearing forms and heated, fluid marks gives the work its tension. What first appears as a built environment begins to shift into a condition of strain, where support and fracture coexist. Rather than describing a fixed site, the painting stages a moment in which containment falters and the surface reveals what it can no longer fully hold.
