Tatiana Mureddu is an interdisciplinary visual artist and art therapist born in Como, who studied at the Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti in Milan and the Weißensee Academy of Art Berlin, and currently lives and works in Berlin. She is an artist who always raises a question about fragile material states, collective memory, and the displacement of language, based on painting, textile sculpture, and moving images.

Her latest practices, including the series “The Value of Loss,” “Hidden Words,” and “Can You Sleep,” are a process-led exploration of time, endurance, and absence. From her recent methodology—crafting intricate textile sculptures with tens of thousands of repetitive stitches, dissolving worn garments, and expanding these textures into stop-motion animations—the artist tries to bring intimate spaces of fragility and concealment back to our reality. The solitary, repetitive gesture of stitching is continuously confronted with themes of loneliness, stillness, and the slow unfolding of material duration. She describes her work as a personal space of restoration and reflection, where perception slows down, inviting prolonged attention as fragility becomes both structure and space. Her work is rooted in a deep material sensitivity, merging the duration and labor of textile craftsmanship within the form of an attentive, psychological exploration of inner landscapes.

Mureddu’s diverse career spans visual arts, costume design for film, and clinical art therapy. She has been invited to exhibitions, projects, and commissions internationally, including the Palacete Gomes Freire in Lisbon, the Weißensee Academy of Art Berlin, the Kino Berlino Festival, and curated art spaces in Milan and Manchester.
