ABOUT THE ARTIST
Loc Boyle is a photographic artist based in Paris, France, originally from Brisbane, Australia. His work blends photography with elements of ceramic sculpture, focusing on the human form and movement, exploring how these are represented in art. Boyle draws inspiration from various fields, including sculpture, dance, athletics, abstract painting, and his personal experiences.
One of Boyle's notable series, Marble Marvel, consists of images that represent ephemeral sculptures. In this series, dancers are selected and completely painted with matte body paint, transforming them into living marble sculptures. These painted figures are then posed in abstract compositions, captured through Boyle’s lens, creating striking visual representations of both movement and stillness.
Boyle's work has been exhibited globally, including in Milan, Paris, London, and New York City, as part of Image Nation. He is also an award winner in the Life Framer competition in the category of The Human Body, and his work has been shown in Barcelona and Johannesburg.
